Sprinkle the onion soup dry mix over the top of the chicken.Ĭover the casserole with foil and bake it. NOTE: If you decided to double this recipe cut back on the water and only use 3 cans of water with the doubled ingredients instead of 4 cans of water.Īrrange the raw chicken on top of the rice. Whisk it so all the ingredients come together. In a small bowl, combine the cans of cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup and water. Next, pour the box of Uncle Ben’s Long Grain Wild rice with the season packet first over the bacon. In a greased 9 x 13 pan, layer the bacon. We love the different varieties so we make it with one or the other at different times. You don’t have to make this recipe with either. There are two optional ingredients for this recipe.

The first version called for Rice a Roni. I have adapted this recipe from the first version I originally posted, because a few who tried it said their rice didn't get tender enough. This is a recipe that kids really love also and it's very budget friendly. Add a salad or vegetable and rolls and dinner is finished. It's such an easy dinner to put together and even though it needs some time to bake, once it's in the oven you can sort of just set your timer and forget about it.
